Susan Fitzsimonds began her career as an educator eleven years ago as a second grade teacher. During this time, she pursued her master’s in counseling from Oakland University. She obtained a kindergarten through twelfth grade counseling endorsement, a counseling license, and specialization in child and adolescent therapy. She is currently in her eighth year as an elementary counselor working with children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Susan has also facilitated Love and Logic parenting courses and led presentations on the topics of bullying, cyber-bullying, self-esteem, and parenting. She has a passion for helping children increase their self-esteem, overcome adversity, and learn skills for dealing with difficult situations. Susan lives in southeast Michigan with her husband, three children, and miniature schnauzer.
